Terms of Service

Our terms and conditions

Last updated 9 September 2026. We will post any material change on this page and, where it affects how we handle your data, tell account owners by email before it takes effect.

These terms govern your use of Monterva, operated by Antypas Ventures LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, United States. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. What Monterva does

Monterva runs automated code-health and security review over repositories you connect, and produces a report describing what its analysis tools matched, with a confidence level for each finding and a statement of what was not covered.

2. Your account

You must give accurate registration details and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite to your workspace. You must be old enough to enter a contract in your jurisdiction, and at least 16.

3. Your code and your rights in it

Your code remains yours. Connecting a repository grants us permission to download and analyse it for the purpose of producing your reports, and for nothing else. We do not use your code to train models, and we do not share it with other customers.

You must have the right to submit the repositories you connect. If a repository belongs to an employer or a client, connecting it is your confirmation that you are permitted to.

4. What a report is, and what it is not

Monterva is automated review, not a penetration test and not a security audit performed by a person. This matters, so it is stated plainly:

  • A report describes what our tools matched in the files they were able to read. It is not a statement that your code is secure, safe, or free of vulnerabilities, and we will never describe it as one.
  • Findings may be wrong in both directions. Automated analysis produces false positives, and it misses real problems. Every finding carries a confidence level, and some are marked as requiring human review — those markings are meaningful and should be acted on.
  • Coverage is always partial. Each report states which languages were analysed, which files were skipped and why, and which analysis tools did not complete. Read that section: it is the honest boundary of what the report can tell you.
  • Monterva analyses source code at rest. It does not test a running system, your infrastructure, your configuration in production, or anything a person would have to interact with to find.

Decisions about your software remain yours. Monterva is one input to them, and it is not a substitute for professional security advice.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • connect a repository you do not have the right to submit;
  • use Monterva to analyse a system in order to attack it, or to look for weaknesses in software you are not authorised to test;
  • attempt to circumvent quotas, access another customer's data, or interfere with the service;
  • resell or present Monterva's output as your own security assessment without saying that it is automated.

6. Plans, payment and quotas

Paid plans, where offered, are billed in advance through Stripe for the period you select and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are not refunded except where the law requires it, or where we have failed to provide the service.

Plans carry limits on repositories and on the number of reviews per period. We will tell you before reducing what your existing plan includes.

While Monterva is in pre-release we are not taking payment, and we may change or withdraw features with little notice.

7. Availability

We aim to keep Monterva available and working, and we do not currently offer a service level agreement. The service is provided as it is. We may suspend access to protect the service or to comply with the law, and will restore it as soon as we reasonably can.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using Monterva and delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and where it is reasonable to do so we will explain why and give you a chance to put it right first.

9. Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Subject to that: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or revenue, or for a security incident in your software that Monterva did not report — automated analysis is partial by nature, as section 4 sets out. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the change here and, where it materially affects you, tell account owners by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Monterva after that means you accept the updated terms.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Wyoming have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer, this does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory law of the country where you live.
